vacationing
shoot. it's been so long, i don't even know where to begin. going back chronologically would be too tough, so highlights, i guess? (btw, it's kinda fun when i stop writing on this thing, because i suddenly get emails from people who actually read it and say they miss it. thanks! this is for you guys!!)
* my sister came to visit me in LA. we survived the four or five days together with hardly any incidents, even had fun i'd say. we drove back to northern california together for thanksgiving, and had jolly good times at our uncle's house (where i also left her for awhile). (my sister is 19 btw)
* after thanksgiving, which seems so so long ago, i came back to LA for two weeks of crammed work. not that i left things to the last minute - really, i did a fairly good job pacing myself with my classwork. but that first week back, i hardly left my room, hardly left my computer. (luckily, gma helped me find some little tables at home that i now use as a desk. no more floorjack and keyboard on the lap for me.) i completed two swell term projects and powerpoint presentations in that time, though, and did a pretty good job presenting them i think. we'll see when grades come out, i guess.
* the last week, then, i had hardly anything left to do. i finished my projects and classes on the 6th, then had only one final - for my movie class - on the 12th. i studied way more than i probably should have for that one, giving i had so much spare time (but i think mollie and i aced our final because of it, so it was well worth it). but i spent a lot of time just goofing around. i made a new friend to
hang out with, and we had some fun and silly times.
* i'm back at home now, killing time until the rest of the crew gets home, but for the first time ever, i'm really looking forward to going back to LA. HOI (our apartment - house of insanity) life will be great, given all the last-minute roommate bonding that went on due to stresses of thievery (oh yeah, our house was robbed... that sucked... i didn't lose much, but everyone else lost something of value), finals, and the excitement of all sorts of new boys. plus, brigid will back, so the possibilities of fun and excitement are endless. and, i can spend more time with my new silly friend. i have to get a new job, a real 9 to 5 job, when i get back -- any suggestions??
* of course, though, i love home. and i tend to have some darn good fun while i am home.
