THE book of cooking
a couple days ago, i helped celebrate yet another birthday (this time for mike - the old man is now 26 - yikes). i made a super yummy chocolate cake with maple frosting from my favorite cookbook, how it all vegan, and it was delicious. this cookbook just can't go wrong, for reals.
26 is old. i remember when my mom turned 26. she got 26 lottery tickets from her friend. that's a lot of lottery tickets, but i don't think she won much, if anything. anyway, i'm glad i'm not 26 yet, especially if i still look 17 or 18 - 19 tops.

Cheers to you this holiday Ms. Laurel! The name of that book is hilarious, I even laughed out loud. Haha. Anyways, I think you'd be proud to hear that I got my first vegetarian cook book...I forgot what it's called...The Mousewood Cookbook? by Mollie Katzen. I love it. So when you come to visit me and Skye in our lovely new apt, I can cook some yummy veggie treats for you...or at least try to. ;-)
