mr. feel good

last weekend, i saw ben lee at the cafe du nord, and it was just awesome. the second he got on stage, ben announced that this was an awesome night and he was feeling awesome and we were all going to have an awesome time (well, that's not exactly how he put it... his way involved multiple uses of the f-word and a sweet austrailian accent). he then told a story that somehow involved iggy pop encouraging another performer to play on stage without a shirt if he really meant business. deciding he meant (f*in) business too, ben took off his shirt, though he had a bright red piece of satiny cloth draped around his shoulders (picture a 12-year-old half-naked boy wearing a table cloth cape, which is sorta how he looked). anyway, it was awesome. everyone in the room had super big smiles on their faces - you just couldn't help it. i even managed to laugh off the fact that some bozo dropped his hardly-touched beer in my lap...

My first Ben Lee experience was great. He was soooooo funny and entertaining. He's a cute guy even if he does look like he's 12. Ha, ha. Would go see him again!

would you see him again even if it meant sitting next to a beer-drenched laurel one more time? hehe - we did have a super fun time, huh?
