attack!
 
on friday night, i was attacked by yellow jackets. i was housesitting and walked by their nest up in the garden. well, i must not have said the secret password when i closed the gate, because they were pissed. and all over me. and luckily jay was there cooking dinner so he was able to come to my rescue and help swat them off of me. in the end, i had five welts, real nice swollen red ones. everything was fine and dandy yesterday - a little redness, puffiness and soreness... but this morning, it all multiplied. my hand is huge. can you tell which one i'm talking about?

a day in the life of avril
 ...if, that is, she ran a childcare and gave up that whole popstar thing for a bit...
anyways, yeah, on monday, the staff at my childcare dressed up like celebrities, and so my inner-avril came out. some of the kids thought it was cool... and some of the kids booed me. all day. i guess they're not sk8r bois.

HOI HOI HOI
woohoo, what a weekend of girly hoi hoi fun. we missed jeanine and april, but, alas, another time. we talked, we giggled, we ate and ate and ate.
and we saw mulan at pioneer park up on the big screen:
and we ate and ate and ate and shivered a bit and giggled and laughed some more. (and, hey, doesn't that look like the back of scott's head??)
and i am so worn out i must sleep and sleep and sleep (and never eat again).
