attack!
 
on friday night, i was attacked by yellow jackets. i was housesitting and walked by their nest up in the garden. well, i must not have said the secret password when i closed the gate, because they were pissed. and all over me. and luckily jay was there cooking dinner so he was able to come to my rescue and help swat them off of me. in the end, i had five welts, real nice swollen red ones. everything was fine and dandy yesterday - a little redness, puffiness and soreness... but this morning, it all multiplied. my hand is huge. can you tell which one i'm talking about?

UPDATE:
Let me say a few words about prednisone, because that's what they're having me take, and that's what's been making me crazy. Well, that and the benedryl. Nothing makes sense. Nothing connects together. I'm so confused. But, at least my hand looks almost like a normal laurel-hand again. I can make a fist now! (My knuckles aren't quite distinguishable yet, though, so there's a bit more work to be done - but things are looking up!)
Maybe I was feeling so much sympathy for you that my body started pumping out hey-bees-come-and-get-me phermones. I was stung on my right arm last Wednesday. It was very painful and I cried later when Giovanna "accidentally" kicked me during nap time (read - she screams and thrashes about while I try to convince her that it'd be cool if she slept). At least it got her to calm down enough to sleep.
man, babies are jerks.
(just kidding.)
